I love photography so much that I wish I could marry it.

Notice the suspicious similarities between the crowd I photographed on Saturday, and one from a Chicago Blackhawks vs. Detroit Red Wings hockey game last winter. Could hockey fans be anarchists? Do anarchists like hockey?

...let's call the whole thing off. Estimates by A.N.S.W.E.R. suggested that there were more than 100,000 supporters attending yesterday's rally in Washington, D.C. The authorities claim less than 20,000. Nonetheless, a great showing of support for bringing our troops home while protesting the Patriot Act and the continued occupation of Iraq.
Two humans with opposing religious viewpoints, both getting their preach on, angrily accuse each other of extreme fanaticism. Strangely, this occurred at a rally where the key objective was to propagate a message of peace.
but a basic science class would be a better idea. In one image, a girl ponders why the flags they're burning vaporize in an instant flash-fire instead of a slow, waving, dramatic blaze like they once saw on TV. They've just realized that polyester flags burn faster than the cloth equivalent–and the darn things melt, too. This abrupt, yet perplexing chemical reaction proves beneficial to this young anarchist, though: when the cops arrive, she'll have averted the need to douse a normally lengthy fire with her double-espresso half-caf with skim-milk-extra-hot-foam latte.

I'm flattered that someone in that country felt strongly enough about my photographs to include one in their blog... scroll down to the April 26 entry. I need two favors, though–someone to translate Persian, and to make the telephone calls from the CIA stop.

There really isn't anything funny or clever to say about fog; if there is, well, I can't think of it. It can provide the setting for some interesting photographs, though.

Kipling said, "San Francisco is a mad city; inhabited by perfectly insane people whose women are of a remarkable beauty". Or something clever like that. Some quick digital snaps from a trip this week. Film coming soon.

is hopefully not a tale that the airplane factory relies on for inspiration. Only when I began working in the tech biz did I realize how frequently machines fail. Returning from D.C. early this morning, I added more airborne images to the hundreds I've already taken, for reasons I can't explain.

Just Like James Bond
but without the BMW, tailored tuxedo, or the wristwatch that gets HBO, I've got a cell phone with an integrated camera. It does panoramas, too; how cool is that? Also, examples of what happens when you loan it to a five year old for an hour.

My Big Fat Geek Wedding
Reception festivities at some friends' wedding a few weeks ago. There weren't any geeks there, really, I've just always wanted a reason to use that title. It's likely that these photographs won't make it into their wedding album.
