Scanner Trash? After receiving a nice note from Hans Proppe (who saw the NYT piece), I visited his site and saw his excellent direct-scan work. These reminded me of a similar experiment that I did a few years ago. No camera was used. No film. No Photoshop. Is this photography? Is it art? One thing for sure, as you'll see in the last images, it's a mess.
